City Council regular meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm.
Planning & Zoning regular meetings are on the 1st Monday of the month.
Southmayd Industrial Economic Dev. Corp. regular meetings are the 3rd Mondays of January, April, July and October.
Southmayd Community Dev. Corp. regular meetings are on the 4th Mondays of February, May, August and November.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that the City of Southmayd is now calling for bids for road improvements for the Village of Southmayd Addition. All bids must be clearly marked “Sealed bid-Village of Southmayd” and returned to the City Secretary’s office on or before September 13, 2016 at 5:00 pm. The mailing address is Southmayd City Hall, Attn: Lisa Stewart, PO Box 88, Southmayd, TX 76268 and our physical address is City Hall, 4525 Elementary Drive, Southmayd, TX 76268.The bids will be reviewed on September 13, 2016 at 7:00 pm during the City Council Meeting. The City of Southmayd reserves the right to reject any and all bids received.
The proposal should include repair to the roads at the Village of Southmayd that will repair and level the roads in a manner that will hold up to normal weights and shed water in a parabolic shape.

Rural Development Loans for Local Businesses
Great news for Southmayd business owners:
The Southmayd Industrial Economic Development Corporation has received a USDA Rural Development Grant to make loans at below market rates to new and emerging businesses or existing business expansion. The essential purpose of these business loans is to create new local job opportunities and to encourage economic development.
