General Election

Are interested in joining the City Council of Southmayd? If so, be sure to pick up an application at the Southmayd City Hall or you can print the application below. Please be aware of the application deadline date below in the Related Documents box. 

The application will not be available online or for pick-up until January 14th at 8:00 am.

• QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must be a United States citizen
2. Must be registered to vote on the date of election.
3. Must be a resident of the City of Southmayd for one (1) year previous to the date of election.
4. Must be 21 years of age.
5. Has not been determined mentally incompetent by a final judgement of a court.
6. Has not been convicted of a felony from which the candidate has not been pardoned or otherwise released for the resulting disabilities.
7. Must satisfy any other eligibility requirements prescribed by law.
